Suspected Child Abuse & Neglect!!!
The SCAN Team is a multi-disciplinary group of professionals specializing in evaluating suspected child abuse and neglect. Interviewing and evidence collection occurs in the Pediatric Emergency Center at Sunrise Children's Hospital. The SCAN Team members include Pediatric Emergency Physicians and Nurses, Child Life Specialists, Child Protective Services, Law Enforcement as well as the District Attorney's Office.
